We're back for more, of course.

Yesterday, we highlighted a handful of high school duos joining forces again for the club season. We're running it back today to spotlight a few more year-round teams due for a breakout 2025 campaign.

Watch out for these combos.

[player_tooltip player_id='739707' first='Loryn' last='Piening'] and [player_tooltip player_id='458117' first='Malorie' last='Boesiger'] -- [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 16 Synergy

Norris High School gets another outstanding duo in our series.

Of course, we haven't seen Boesiger since she competed with last year's [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 17 Synergy squad. She spent the 2024 high school season recuperating from an injury, but that didn't stop Norris from reaching the Class B mountaintop. Boesiger returns as the centerpiece for a brand-new Synergy lineup after earning all-GJNC honors with the old crew. We're eager to see her back on the floor.

Meanwhile, Piening forged her path as a first-year impact player with the Titans. This explosive middle blocker played various roles throughout the 2024 season and finished with an impressive 0.242 hitting percentage. Piening's quickness off the floor will offer a worthy setting target for Boesiger--even as Piening plays up a year from the Class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='458362' first='Campbell' last='Capece'] and [player_tooltip player_id='458162' first='Taylor' last='McLeay'] -- Premier Nebraska 16 Gold

How about both starting outside hitters from last year's Omaha Marian squad?

Capece and McLeay were the perfect 1-2 punch on Marian's left pin last year. They finished with nearly identical scoring totals with both leading the team with two and a half kills per set. However, the key storyline here is that this combo's impact goes far beyond attacking.

McLeay has spent a lot of time in the libero jersey for Premier Nebraska. Her steady platform and defensive instincts make her an ideal fit for this position, and she might return to those roots in 2025. Capece was a six-rotation contributor for last year's Premier Nebraska 15 Black team, which earned an early GJNC bid through the Northern Lights Qualifier.

These Crusaders were on different teams last year, but their powers are now combined.

[player_tooltip player_id='566265' first='Leighton' last='Froehlich'] and [player_tooltip player_id='575235' first='Logann' last='Dostal'] -- Premier Nebraska 15 Gold

We can even find some emerging year-round duos in the Class of 2028.

Gretna's 2024 postseason run was fueled by freshmen with Dostal and Froehlich right in the middle of it all. Dostal led the team in total kills with over 350, making her one of Nebraska's most productive first-year players. Froehlich chipped in with a handful of kills as a hybrid player who could play in the middle or on the right side.

This is another case of players on different club teams converging for the 2025 season. Froehlich played up a year last spring to help that aforementioned Premier Nebraska 15 Black squad. She's now sticking with her "true" age group to lock down the frontcourt with her Gretna teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='349484' first='Piper' last='Bellamy'] and [player_tooltip player_id='349455' first='Alivia' last='Gustafson'] -- [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 17 Black

This is a new club combo for VCN, but this pair of Silver Hawks should still bring plenty of on-court cohesion.

Bellamy demonstrated her willingness to be a high-volume scorer with VCN last spring. She brought multi-pin impact to last year's VCN 16 Black lineup and helped her team score some big triumphs on the qualifier stage. No matter which pin position she plays, Bellamy's quick arm will be one to watch.

Versatility has also defined Gustafson's prep career, but she played out the last few club seasons at [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE']. She churned out reps as a middle and an opposite, allowing her team to weaponize an array of crossing patterns. [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] is not afraid to use similar strategies, so look out for Gustafson's multi-faceted impact for 17 Black.

[player_tooltip player_id='276192' first='Amelia' last='North'] and [player_tooltip player_id='521209' first='Mallory' last='Shaw'] -- Nebraska Elite 17-1

Douglas County West has recently provided a wealth of talent for Nebraska Elite, giving us some duos to discuss.

North has helped run the offense during DC West's last two fall campaigns. She has a knack for running three-hitter rotations out of the back row but can also command a 5-1 offense if needed. Her escalating numbers last year prove North's readiness to do more with Nebraska Elite.

Shaw is slated to play up a year to help Nebraska Elite's top 17s group. She was part of the Open-level triumph with the 15s last spring, so she's battle-tested for the jump. Shaw terminated 2.5 times per set for last year's Falcons and could get it done at multiple spots along the net.

We're gearing up for a DC West takeover.

We're back for more, of course.
