Continue ReadingWashington plays host to one of only 13 tournaments across the country that allow 11U-17U teams to qualify for the Girls Junior National Championship in Chicago this summer. The 18U teams have an additional 3 qualifiers, and PNQ includes the 18 age division. While teams may also qualify at the Regional Bid tournaments (National Division), or sign up to play in the Patriot Division, National Qualifiers allow the opportunity for multiple teams to qualify in the Open Division. Open is the highest possible level at the GJNC, and clubs across the nation chase those 36-48 bids available.
Spokane will roll out the red carpet over two consecutive weekends, Week 1 March 25-27th, and Week 2 March 31-April 2. Week 1 starts with the 16, 17, and 18 ages, with four venues to accommodate the teams attending from across the nation. Downtown Spokane will feature two venues, the Spokane Convention Center and the new sports-only complex The Podium. These two facilities will host the Open divisions for all three age groups.
