Frosh Who Have Made Varsity

As expected she will be hitting left side for Madison. Kayla hopes to bring the Class 4 State championship back to Loudoun County after their 10 straight Class 4 state championships ended last year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='435748' first='Aaliyah' last='Green'] </strong>outside (Millwood) - Aaliyah ranks number 8. The Rockets are my pick to win the Maryland state championship. If they decide on using <strong>Casey Bradley</strong> as a setter Ana could become the starting libero.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Saesha Dhote</strong> OH (Richard Montgomery) - Don't know too much about her, but if you put a frosh on varsity you hope to give her playing time. If <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='235748' first='Ema' last='Djordjevic']</strong> sets and plays right side that opens up a left side for Saesha. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='437980' first='Katherine' last='Madden']</strong> libero (Millbrook) - Katherine ranks number 17 on our list. Her task will be to replace [player_tooltip player_id='218149' first='Giselle' last='Norris'] at the libero position. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='438068' first='Ayla' last='Sayd'] </strong>outside (Marshall) - Number 20 in our class of 2027. Her older sister [player_tooltip player_id='181234' first='Samia' last='Sayd'] will be hitting outside. For Virginia Juniors Ayla hit right side. She was the main setter in a scrimmage with Madison, but a sprained ankle in the first set ended her night. Heritage went to a 5/1 after her departure so Annabelle appears to be one of the two setters for Heritage.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='298857' first='Ingrid' last='Smith']</strong> setter (Dominion) - Number 31 in our class of 2027. Ingrid set four rotations in a scrimmage with Independence. Her hands are smooth and she consistently jump sets. Dominion is in the hunt for the Class 4 state championship. If she leads the way this ranking will rise.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='438043' first='Katherine' last='McLaughlin'] </strong>outside (Paul VI) - ranked number 29 in our class of 2027. She did not get to play a lot for Paramount last year. Not tall for an outside but it will be difficult to find a player with more hustle.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='532908' first='Olivia' last='Stroupe']</strong> outside (Paul VI) - She played for the Paramount 14-2 team. Ironic that both Katherine and Olivia hit outside for me at Vienna Elite 13 and now they will be going against me as frosh when Paul VI plays Bishop O'Connell.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Annika Lersten </strong>(Wakefield) - She played for Paramount 14, the same team as her Wakefield teammate [player_tooltip player_id='296486' first='Taylor' last='Harrington']. Like [player_tooltip player_id='438043' first='Katherine' last='McLaughlin'] I didn't really get to see her play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='451960' first='Paisley' last='Cook'] </strong>setter (Millbrook) - She was one of the setters for Blue Ridge 14 but did not play in Junior Nationals so I have not seen her play. Millbrook needs to replace setter <strong>Madison Koeller</strong>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='484960' first='Kinsley' last='Zebatto']</strong> Middle (Battlefield) - At 6 feet she brings length to the middle. The middle who played ahead of her at Paramount was the 6'1" <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='437452' first='Jolie' last='Vignier'] </strong>and she plays for the Battlefield junior varsity. Perhaps I missed something. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Emma Zurine</strong> libero (Thomas Jefferson) - Another Paramount 14 player. Emma played for the 14-2 team which I never witnessed play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='448705' first='Danika' last='Swanson']</strong> setter (Patriot) - She played up as a setter for American 15. She stands 5'9".</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='455102' first='Erin' last='Green']</strong> right side (Chantilly) - Yet another player on the Paramount 14 team to make varsity. At 5'10 she has the height to play the position.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Allison Nemets</strong> middle and <strong>Gillian Cook</strong> Setter/DS (Robinson) - Gillian Cook played for Vienna Elite. Robinson lost a starting lineup of seniors last year so they will need replacements.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Brianna Wang</strong> (McLean) - Last year she set for St. James 14 Navy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> <strong> </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
