Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am the starting libero for the 15Gold 1st Alliance Volleyball Club. We compete in the 15/16U open division in the Great Lakes Region. I am a strong leader on the court, motivating my teammates to play their best and raising them up when they’re down. My coaches tell me “I’m the glue for our team”. I’m funny, loud, scrappy and take pride in being short. I always give 110% on and off the court.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very determined and hard working player. I like routine and thrive for challenges. I have to work harder than other players because of my size, so I always give 110%! I am funny, loud, scrappy, consistent and a perfectionist.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a Student Ambassador for my school which includes assisting in student recruitment. I visit elementary schools, host info tables, and serve as a student leader. I’ve also just began the Peer Ministry Program where I will learn to lead student masses and retreats.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Over the past few years, I’ve developed my leadership skills. I like to be in control so I’ve learned to fully trust in my teammates, and motivating them to always try a little harder every play.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I am challenged daily with my size. I am only 5’2” tall but play like a 6’ player. I have to work harder than other players to prove my ability and when I am recognized or given an opportunity to advance I am beyond happy! It’s a blessing to work hard and achieve a goal, especially when no one is in your corner. I like it prove people wrong.
What type of college are you looking for?
My dream is to play for a DI school in the Midwest or south. I want to study sports medicine and really want to a part of an inclusive, caring school environment.
