The Lafayette commit continues to finish off her career as a Mighty Hopper with excellence. She produced a team leading 10 kills in their win against Flint Hill, hitting at a .364 hitting percentage for the match.

Overall, she came into the tournament leading her team in kills while hitting at a .500 percentage. She also leads the team in blocks, adding four more to her total during the tournament.

She earns the Prep Dig MVP award for the Endless Summer tournament in 2024.

right side - [player_tooltip player_id='181763' first='Jada' last='Aksu'] (Georgetown Day), [player_tooltip player_id='309032' first='Samantha' last='Stephens'] (Spring Mills)

middle - [player_tooltip player_id='437441' first='Hunter' last='Ross'] (Flint Hill), [player_tooltip player_id='536736' first='Alexis' last='Stephens'] (Spring Mills), [player_tooltip player_id='693822' first='Lucille' last='Tignor'] (Frank Cox)

libero/defensive specialist - [player_tooltip player_id='326533' first='Shiraz' last='Benyoucef'] (Georgetown Day), [player_tooltip player_id='181279' first='Kadi' last='Pynchon'] (Flint Hill), [player_tooltip player_id='664966' first='Penny' last='Savino'] (*Frank Cox)

setter - [player_tooltip player_id='292644' first='Caycee' last='Chhum'] (Georgetown Day), [player_tooltip player_id='181303' first='Isabelle' last='Bardin'] (Flint Hill), [player_tooltip player_id='484751' first='Riley' last='Erwin'] (Kellam)

[player_tooltip player_id='181763' first='Jada' last='Aksu'] led the Mighty Hoppers in kills with 57. She can crush the ball cross court or down the line and if the set is tight she has an uncanny ability to just swipe the ball off the blocker's hands for the kill.

While we only have two left sides for this team, [player_tooltip player_id='181303' first='Isabelle' last='Bardin'] has shown that she can hit the ball from anywhere on the court. She also stands out as a pretty good setter as well. If Flint Hill had won the tournament that MVP trophy may have gone to her.

Middle [player_tooltip player_id='536736' first='Alexis' last='Stephens'] is the only frosh selected to the all tournament team. At 6'2" she leads the Cardinals in blocks. While [player_tooltip player_id='437441' first='Hunter' last='Ross'] played middle she also showed the ability to hit the ball from either pin. [player_tooltip player_id='693822' first='Lucille' last='Tignor'] ran the quick sets in the middle well. Her hitting percentage for the year sits at .343.

[player_tooltip player_id='484751' first='Riley' last='Erwin'] can be used as a setter or hitter on the right side. She leads her team in blocks, service aces and assists while also sitting third in kills. [player_tooltip player_id='292644' first='Caycee' last='Chhum'] averaged 9.7 assists for the tournament, dishing out her sets to a variety of locations.

Impressed with what I saw from [player_tooltip player_id='664966' first='Penny' last='Savino'] at the libero position. The senior captain averages about 5.7 digs per set and performs well when passing the ball. Finally, [player_tooltip player_id='326533' first='Shiraz' last='Benyoucef'] passed at a 2.2 rating during the tournament.

The New Hampshire commit is ending her high school volleyball career with a bang. West Springfield has started the season 10-1 with Evelyn leading the team in kills with194. That puts her second in kills in the state of Virginia per Maxprep.

Evelyn is adept at providing offense from the back row or front row. She plays right side with an offense that runs a 5/1, allowing her to play all six rotations. She stands 6'2" and brings an approach jump that hits 9'8".

West Springfield is making some noise to appear in the next top 20 DMV ranking for high school teams. They improved their record to 10-1 with a sweep over Lake Braddock. New Hampshire commit [player_tooltip player_id='181243' first='Evelyn' last='Jurden'] finished the game with 23 kills, while sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='438046' first='Anna' last='Dierks'] dished out 29 assists. Evelyn's 194 kills for the year places her second in the state of Virginia, based on MaxPreps data.

The Kettle Run Cougars are also making some noise with their sweep over Handley to improve their record to 6-0. In those matches they have yet to lose a set. Their big test will be a game against James Wood on October 3 at their place.

Midlothian accomplished a big four set win over Atlee to improve their record to 8-1. For Atlee they recorded their first loss of the season.

Glenelg remained undefeated at 10-0 with an impressive four set win over Reservoir. They also appear in the running for the next top 20 DMV ranking. The Gladiators are led by [player_tooltip player_id='346815' first='Isard' last='Bernades'], who leads the team in kills.

The Richard Montgomery Rockets won their opener with a sweep against Springbrook. [player_tooltip player_id='235748' first='Ema' last='Djordjevic'] led the team with 12 kills and 13 assists. Frosh [player_tooltip player_id='536719' first='Katherine' last='Mitchell'] contributed six kills.

Jackson Reed brought a nice win to their ledger with a four set victory over Alexandria City. [player_tooltip player_id='699991' first='Elianette' last='Escalera'] led the team in kills with 16, while [player_tooltip player_id='378662' first='Taylor' last='Simpson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='696417' first='Sydney' last='Hudson'] contributed 13 each. [player_tooltip player_id='478130' first='Danielle' last='Wallace'] scooped up 26 digs. Unfortunately, over the weekend they received a dose of reality when they were swept by number 7 Bullis in a weekend tournament 25-12, 25-21.
