<p>The high school volleyball season continues to progress at full pace in Texas as teams from all around the Lone Star State are either starting their district campaigns or finalizing their preparations for it.</p>

<p>This Tuesday, September 10, will be a busy day, with hundreds of matches taking place in the state, some of which are very promising ones, reuniting teams that look poised to have excellent seasons.</p>

<p>We picked three of them to feature as you prepare for an intense day of high school action in Texas:</p>

<p><strong>Lovejoy vs. Argyle - 6:00 PM @ Lovejoy HS</strong></p>

<p>Two of the most competitive teams in the Dallas area, Lovejoy and Argyle are set to meet in a non-conference match before they start their district campaigns. The Lovejoy Leopards currently have an 18-7 win record for the season and enter Tuesday's encounter coming from back-to-back wins. Star sophomore outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='534291' first='Gentry' last='Barker'] (238 kills, 249 digs, 362 passes) has been excellent for them, as well as senior middle [player_tooltip player_id='212729' first='Anna' last='Barr'] (151 kills, 46 blocks), junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='254302' first='Skylar' last='Jackson'] (153 kills, 252 digs, 420 passes), junior setter Emerson Boyd (328 assists) and junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='220464' first='Sienna' last='Franks'] (271 digs, 369 passes, 24 aces).</p>

Leading the team are senior setter/right side [player_tooltip player_id='184252' first='Jordyn' last='Moore'] (235 assists, 189 kills, 162 digs), senior outside hitter Harper Hurley (118 kills, 145 passes), senior libero [player_tooltip player_id='254289' first='Piper' last='Mickenheim'] (311 digs, 270 passes), senior middle Jorgia Sanchez (79 kills, 46 blocks) and sophomore setter [player_tooltip player_id='412642' first='Karsyn' last='Rogers'] (310 assists, 32 aces).</p>

<p><strong>Stratford vs. Fulshear - 5:30 PM @ Fulshear HS</strong></p>

<p>Two perennial contenders in the Houston area, Stratford and Fulshear will also meet before the start of district play. The Stratford Spartans currently have a 22-2 win record and recovered from one of their losses in great style last weekend. Junior right side [player_tooltip player_id='269826' first='Sarah' last='Hickman'] (290 kills, 54 blocks, 44 aces) has been the leading scorer in a team that also counts on great play from junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='254038' first='Gwenyth' last='Koss'] (208 kills, 186 digs, 244 passes), junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='323202' first='Audrey' last='Cook'] (620 assists, 160 digs, 30 aces), senior libero Rachel Ashby (294 digs, 406 passes) and sophomore middle Milena Miladinovic (75 blocks).</p>

<p>Competing for the first time in the 6A Division, the Fulshear Chargers are proving they belong there with 22 wins and just four losses - they also lost a tournament match over the weekend, but recovered immediately with a victory. Fulshear are getting a lot from four of their seniors - outside hitters [player_tooltip player_id='179898' first='Bailey' last='Warren'] (281 kills, 153 digs, 285 passes) and [player_tooltip player_id='225557' first='Lauren' last='Witte'] (218 kills, 166 digs, 300 passes), libero [player_tooltip player_id='179896' first='Sydney' last='Black'] (408 digs, 237 passes, 35 aces) and setter [player_tooltip player_id='253963' first='Alexys' last='James'] (772 assists, 205 digs, 29 blocks) - and sophomore middle [player_tooltip player_id='438670' first='Arayah' last='Watson'] (140 kills, 44 blocks).</p>

<p><strong>Brennan vs. O'Connor - 7:00 @ Brennan HS</strong></p>

<p>San Antonio's top sides Brennan and O'Connor will duel in a District 29 match. The Brennan Bears have a 23-6 record for the season and got a win and a loss in their first district encounters, ranking fourth. The team's main offensive options so far in the season are sophomore outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='693887' first='Mia' last='Nunez'] (187 kills, 219 digs, 364 passes), senior outside hitter Angel Osteguin (177 kills, 244 digs, 346 passes) and senior middle [player_tooltip player_id='206933' first='Giana' last='Brown'] (168 kills, 62 blocks). Sophomore setter Aviana Contreras (421 assists, 198 digs, 30 aces) and senior libero Mia Vara (237 digs, 236 passes) complete the core of the team.</p>

Some of the team's key players are junior outside hitters [player_tooltip player_id='318145' first='Jaylyn' last='Tuiasosopo'] (200 kills, 163 digs, 227 passes) and Madison Libson (192 kills, 292 digs, 450 passes), senior middle Gabriela Hudson (152 kills, 46 blocks), senior setter Sofia Chapa (466 assists, 175 digs, 41 aces) and junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='482098' first='Miranda' last='Clark'] (286 digs, 354 passes). </p>
