2025 Rankings Update – The Pin Hitters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top five pin attackers by ranking in the class of 2025 update have all been producing and winning with their club teams this season. At the roughly halfway point of the club campaign, RS/S/OH <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='249445' first='Kendall' last='Mairs']</strong> from Camas and OJVA 18 Gold checks in at #2 overall, closely followed by her OJVA 18 Gold teammate <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='249444' first='Sydney' last='Dreves']</strong> at #3. The two OJVA standouts are terrific multi-sport athletes with excellent volleyball skills overall. Dreves is a defensive standout, scores with power and finesse, and is a true six-rotation OH with a tremendous volleyball IQ. On the opposite side of the court, Mairs has a whip of an arm and can drop dimes anywhere her attackers need it as a setter.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='250418' first='Layne' last='Dent']</strong> is the #6 overall player in the rankings; her 6'2" length as an OH sets her apart from many players, and she is rapidly developing her serve-receive game. She pounds the ball down when she is in system, and as a blocker, her length is difficult for opposing hitters to deal with. The #8 overall player, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='266134' first='Aspyn' last='Reed'],</strong> is a high flyer working the outside for RVC 18's. She has been a go-to option, working a super fast system when the Renovators 18 offense clicks, hammering missiles before the block can get set up. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='253253' first='Alani' last='Taliloa']</strong> is an exceptionally skilled overall player, which can sometimes be overlooked due to her tremendous power game. She always betters the ball, plays all six rotations with hustle and grit, and is rarely, if ever, out of position- a testament to her ability to read the game. Johnson is handling tough serves as a passer, showing the ability to center line a ball or angle her platform to take care of the high floats with pace.  Her own float serve is u0022fleanu0022 to use the term coined in the USA gym by Karch Kiraly. u003cemu003eFlatu003c/emu003e over the net- clearing with little arc, and u003cemu003eclean u003c/emu003ewith nearly no spin. Willsey has great torso rotation in her attacks, she is able to utilize more than just her arm to generate power and terminate points. At 5'11u0022, the junior from Arlington has good leverage and will power down swings when she has a seam, and is more than willing to find the soft spots in a defense to rack up kills with a tip over the top or a push to the corner. Hadley has plenty of power, but mixes it up with different swings and smart shots that reveal her high volleyball IQ.
