Rob Howe | Prep Dig Scout
I’ve scouted Jackson throughout the last few years of club and high school ball. At the state tournament with Dallas Center-Grimes in the fall, she’d taken a step forward since watching her with PowerPlex last season. The latest viewing happened at the 2026 ASICS Show Me National Qualifier during mid-April in Kansas City. Jackson was holding down the back row for PowerPlex 16U Nelson, which finished eighth in the USA Division after previously securing a Freedom Division bid to this summer’s USAV National Tournament in Indianapolis. The DCG sophomore has steadily sharpened her skills and consistency. She was in control of the action and keeping her operation in system in KC. Jackson is athletic and quick, moving well laterally and flashing fast reflexes. Jackson piled up 445 digs in 101 sets during the Mustangs’ run to the state tournament. She’s on a great trajectory for the future right now.

It’s been fun watching Jackson raise her level of play throughout the last few years. From holding it down in the back row for PowerPlex’s mighty squads to helping Dallas Center-Grimes reach the state tournament this past fall, she’s a proven winner and a key contributor to that success. Jackson is technically sound and sees the court well, which leads to consistently good performance. Her reflexes are sharp and lateral movement is quick. I last scouted her in person at the state tournament, so it made sense to check in on her club campaign. Jackson posted highlights from the MLK tournament and more clips from the early season HERE. It’s clear her ascent is continuing.

We’ve spotlighted several of Iowa PowerPlex’s homestanding stars from last weekend, but we need a bit of backcourt representation in that group. Jackson added to the extensive lore of PowerPlex liberos who have dominated on the Prep Dig Circuit. We honed in on Jackson’s precise first contacts right away, but she’s also an adept secondary setter when her side is scrambling. Dallas Center-Grimes has a future upperclassman gem who has already set a high bar as a sophomore.

Jackson is a player I’ve watched grow her skills during the last few years. She’s developed into one of the state’s top performers in the back row. Jackson covers a lot of ground and limits her errors on balls she reaches. She has improved her communication in helping keep her team on the same page. Her reading of the opposing attack and steadiness in serve receive are major reasons why those squads get to the attack cleanly. Jackson understands where the attackers like the set when taking the two ball. If she can take another step forward this club campaign, I’d expect plenty of calls from college coaches when the time comes next summer.
