About Josie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a competitive athlete who strives to continuously improve my skills. I love to be surrounded by others with positive energy who also strive to be their best.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very focused on succeeding and will work until it's completed. I am fun loving person, who is kind and always treats others the way I want to be treated. I love volleyball and want to be surrounded by girls who also want to win. One of my favorite hobbies is reading. I have a good balance of being both an introvert and extrovert.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am apart of the following clubs: Mercy's FBLA, Big Sis Little Sis and Book Club. I received the "Be That Girl" award which honors someone who takes advantage of every opportunity, helps others, tries new thing and always gives her best. This award was voted on by the students, faculty and staff.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My school Mercy Academy has taught me a lot about each of these skills/qualities. FBLA has helped me grow as a leader. Being a part of sports team my whole like has continuously helped me grow in being a better teammate. Volunteering for service hours has also broadened my awareness of the needs in our community. I am thankful for my experiences at Mercy.

What type of college are you looking for?

A place that feels like home away from home. I want to be surrounded by teachers who see me for the hard-working student I am and to be with a volleyball team who also wants to be the best we can be.
