Texas High School Report Vol 4

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Texas High School volleyball season is now upon us.&nbsp; Last season there were some amazing teams and super competitive matches that took place.&nbsp; Everyone is practicing hard to solidify their lineups in order to chase the ultimate prize, a State Championship.&nbsp; There have been some big tournaments that have happened over the past few weeks and we are already starting to see some fireworks.&nbsp; Let's take a closer look at who is standing out for these teams on the rise.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Duncanville Pantherettes</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While you were watching all of the usual suspects gain notoriety in many publications, Duncanville has quietly emerged as a team to be reckoned with thanks to some special talents on their roster.&nbsp; Miss Peyton Smith is introducing herself to the world during her freshman campaign.&nbsp; The six-foot left side attacker has been almost unstoppable in this early part of the season.&nbsp; Currently she has tallied 266 kill and is averaging 5.3 kills per set.&nbsp; The most impressive factor is that she is hitting at a whopping .326 percentage, which means she has been extremely efficient at scoring the rock.&nbsp; She is getting tons of help from senior [player_tooltip player_id='254291' first='Ryea' last='Jackson'], junior [player_tooltip player_id='808219' first='Kaitlyn' last='Polley'] and junior [player_tooltip player_id='828459' first='Raven' last='Hodge'].&nbsp; They are providing some great firepower to go along with Miss Smith's production on the offensive end.&nbsp; They are also putting up a wall at the net while blocking as they are the three top blockers on the roster.&nbsp; Junior libero Madison Hatley leads the team in digs and has helped them to a 19-2 overall record.&nbsp; The six-two offensive system is run by duo Jaleeya Brown and Chloe Carpenter.&nbsp; Both are feeding the right hitters at the right time and they will be difficult to contend with.&nbsp; We love the competition that we are seeing and will be covering this awesome squad closely throughout the rest of the season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Cypress Ranch Mustangs</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Every year this school stays in the conversation of teams to beat due to some talented volleyball players and this season is no different.&nbsp; They are led by some big guns who have been in the program for a few years.&nbsp; Junior left side attacker [player_tooltip player_id='839852' first='Saniya' last='Reynolds'] leads the team in kills thanks to her explosive approach and arm swing.&nbsp; She has some help in big middle [player_tooltip player_id='254272' first='Madyson' last='Carr'], who is hitting the ball at a very impressive .404 clip.&nbsp; Athletic pin [player_tooltip player_id='438535' first='Kennedy' last='White'] is doing her part to help the offense stay hot.&nbsp; Sophomore sensation [player_tooltip player_id='765090' first='Sade' last='Bello'] is back with the squad and has begun to be where she left off last season.&nbsp; With her in the mix, this team has some heat at their disposal to fight with anyone.&nbsp; No one is more important than senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='268779' first='Zora' last='Bello'] who is the leader of this squad on the court.&nbsp; She might be one of the most athletic setters in the entire state and is ready to put the entire volleyball world on notice.&nbsp; Senior libero [player_tooltip player_id='254251' first='Kinsley' last='Hooper'] leads the back row and has been keeping the ship steady with her amazing passes and digs.&nbsp; This team has the capability of knocking anyone out on any given night.&nbsp; Watch out for the fireworks when they are in town.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always stay tuned for more articles on your favorite teams and athletes.&nbsp; If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at <a href="mailto:Michael@prepdig.com">Michael@prepdig.com</a>.&nbsp; Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends.&nbsp; Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook.&nbsp; Thanks for following us, Prep Dig Texas Family!&nbsp; Don't be afraid to interact with us.&nbsp; We love the likes, shares, and quotes/comments.&nbsp; Keep them coming!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
