The Ms. Baden Volleyball Award represents the pinnacle of high school volleyball achievement in Minnesota, annually recognizing the state's single top senior player based on their impressive career accomplishments. As the high school season progresses and candidates continue to deliver dominant performances on the court, the discussion now turns to which senior athlete will join the prestigious list of past winners—a list that includes former Roger's star Anya Schmidt. From powerful hitters like Sydney Schnichels and elite setters like Stella Swanson to defensive dynamos like CC McGraw, the competition is fierce to determine who has demonstrated the sustained excellence, leadership, and impact worthy of this ultimate honor throughout their high school career. Christianson has been a dominant and versatile player for Lakeville North since her eighth-grade year, contributing through positions like middle blocker before becoming the starting setter/right side and a team captain. In her freshman season in 2022, she was a starting middle hitter, leading the team with a .426 hitting percentage, 246 kills, and 44 blocks. This effort helped her squad to a 2nd-place finish in the AAAA MN State Tournament and earned her an All-Conference Award. In her sophomore season in 2023, she stood out by leading the Panthers with 249 kills, 49 service aces, and 485 assists, which earned her major accolades. Some of these included the Star Tribune All-Metro First Team selection, Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association All-State honors for Class AAAA, and being named a Pioneer Press East Metro Player of the Year Finalist. Christianson was also recognized in 2024 by being selected to the Star Tribune All-Minnesota Team and received an MNVBCA All-State Award.

Highlights
Chlebecek has been a standout six-rotation outside for Lakeville South , earning a varsity starting position as early as her eighth-grade season in 2021, where she recorded 158 varsity kills. In her freshman year (2022), she continued as a varsity starter and was part of the 2022 South Suburban Conference Champions team while recording 205 kills. By her junior year in 2024, she had her most productive season yet with 393 kills and 32 blocks in order to contribute to the Cougars' 32-2 record as well as a perfect 12-0 conference record and establishing Lakeville South as the defending Class 4A state champions going into the post season. Chlebecek has been recognized on South Suburban All-Conference teams, named the Lakeville South 's 2024 Female ExCEL Award Winner, and was a Cougar Athlete of the Week multiple times. While being a consistent offensive threat, Chlebecek has surpassed 100 career blocks to be a dominant defensive force as well during her senior season. She has also maintained a strong academic record with a 4.0 GPA.

Highlights
Lunski has established herself as a highly decorated and versatile outside for the Chanhassen Storm. As a senior, she reached a rare milestone by recording 2,000 career kills, a total that puts her in the top 10 in state history. Her outstanding offensive production includes match-high records of 28 kills against Lanesboro and 23 kills against Spring Grove. Even as a freshman in 2022, Lunski demonstrated her well-rounded game by leading the team in several major statistical categories, including 193 kills and 261 digs, while also being second on the team in blocks and aces. Lunski was recognized for her consistent, clutch play, when she was named a team captain.

Highlights
Burley quickly became a highly decorated libero for Prior Lake. By her freshman season (2022), she was already the starting Libero for Prior Lake and received the Best Defensive Player Award for the team. She also earned the South Suburban All-Conference Award in the same season. As a senior in the 2025 season, Burley is one of the Varsity Captains while also maintaining an impressive 4.0 GPA.

has been a critical piece and versatile player in the Marshall Tigers' dynasty, contributing to two of the team's three consecutive Class AAA State Championships. The Middle Hitter/Setter was selected to the 2024 Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association (MNVBCA) All-State Team and was a Big South All-Conference honoree. Fahl is recognized for her versatility, often splitting her time between setter and playing a dominant role at the net. During her junior season (2024-2025), she was the area leader among qualified players in hitting percentage with a .366 clip on 265 kills, and also recorded 552 assists. Her combination of athleticism and smart play has cemented her as an elite high school volleyball talent.

Highlights
Kraft quickly became a cornerstone of the Eagan squad, beginning with her rise to Varsity for Sections as an eighth grader in 2021. As a freshman (2022), she earned the role of Eagan's Starting Libero, and she was a key contributor to the team winning their 2022 South Suburban Conference Championship. Her defensive prowess was rewarded with the South Suburban All-Conference Award and the Defensive Player of the Year Award for Eagan in 2022. As an elite defender and student-athlete, she is consistently talked about as a top libero in the state while she maintains a strong academic standing with a 4.0 GPA.

Highlights
Keaveny has been the anchor (libero) for Mayer Lutheran since her freshman year, helping her team to three consecutive trips to the Minnesota State Volleyball Tournament. As a freshman (2022), she helped the team achieve a 2nd place finish while leading the team with over 60 aces from the service line. During her sophomore season (2023), she helped the Crusaders secure another 2nd place finish, was named to All-Conference honors, and ranked second in the state in digs with 500+ in the season. Going into her junior season Keaveny had already amassed over 800 career digs. She was instrumental in leading Mayer Lutheran to the MN State Tournament Championship, earning a spot on the MN State Volleyball All-Tournament Team and being named to the 2024 MNVBCA All-State Team and All Conference team. You would recognize her by her quickness, excellent court coverage, and ability to consistently deliver quality passes in serve receive.
SECTION 4
Highlights
Keaveny has been an instrumental setter and right-side attacker for the Mayer Lutheran Crusaders, and has contributed significantly to a highly successful period for the program. She was a starter as a 9th grader in 2022, a year in which Mayer Lutheran finished in 2nd place in the MN State Volleyball Tournament. Keaveny helped guide the team back to the State Tournament in both her 10th and 11th grade seasons. Which ultimately culminated in the Crusaders winning the 2024 MN State Volleyball Championship. Keaveny ran the offense with 31 assists in the championship match. Individually, she has been named to the MNVBCA All-State Volleyball Team in both 2023 and 2024, and received All Conference Team honors in both years. She also earned herself a spot on the MN State VB All-Tournament Team in 2023 and 2024, and was selected for the 2024 MN Star Tribune All Minnesota Team. Keaveny has been a consistent leader for the Crusaders and she surpassed 1500 career assists by the end of her sophomore season.

Highlights
Burns, who has played for the Watertown-Mayer Royals' squad since at least 2020, has been a key contributor. Primarily playing as a Libero, Burns is known for her consistency, relentless pursuit and clean mechanics in serve receive. She make serve receive look easy with Burns communication, and calm presence under pressure. She has also demonstrated offensive capability for the Royals which led to her selection to the 2025 Class AA Showcase All-Tournament Team as an Outside for Watertown-Mayer. She has also recorded a high of 17 kills in a single match against Dassel-Cokato.
SECTION 5
Highlights
Swenson, is a Setter and Right-Side Hitter for the Wayzata Trojans, and she has been part of a historic run of success, contributing to a program that secured its fourth straight Minnesota State High School Class AAAA championship in 2023. As a freshman (2022), she was getting playing time while winning the state title. By 2023, she led the squad to a season with a near-perfect 34-0 record. The 6'3" player is highly regarded for her ability to play both the setter and right-side positions, and has been praised as a "game-changer at the setter position" with a "quick, deceptive, and perfectly timed" setter dump. She is also noted for her leadership, cool demeanor, and court vision.
SECTION 5
Lobitz is been a high-impact player for the Albany Huskies, contributing significantly to a successful program that advanced to the State Semifinals in the 2024 season. As a right side, she was named to the Class AA Showcase All-Tournament Team and helped the Huskies win the Section 6AA Championship. Her offensive output has steadily increased, with her recording 244 kills and a .288 hitting percentage in her junior season (2024). Lobitz has also showcased impressive efficiency, achieving a career-high .750 hitting percentage in a match against East Grand Forks in 2025.

Highlights
Kreiser established herself as a top Outside for the Mound Westonka White Hawks, and earned All-Conference honors as a sophomore. During that successful 2023 season, the team achieved a 22-6 record while Kreiser recorded 234 kills with an impressive .326 hitting percentage, contributing 43 aces with a 92% in-play serving percentage, 106 digs, and 35 blocks. She continued to be the go-to weapon and notably led the offense with 64 kills and a .395 hitting percentage during a week where Westonka won their home tournament championship for the second year in a row. Kreiser's play has been vital to the White Hawks' strong performance, including making it to the section semifinals in 2023. She is known as an explosive and reliable attacker who brings speed, power, and innate court awareness to the net.

Highlights
Hoecke, a 6'3" Middle for the Centennial Cougars, is one of Minnesota's most highly touted high school players. She has played onvarsity since her 8th grade year in 2021, and by her senior season she was serving as a Captain. Her high school career statistics, spanning her senior season, include 1,198 kills, 317 blocks, and a career hitting percentage of .293 in over 389 sets played. Hoecke has been recognized on the 2025 AVCA Girls High School Player of the Year Watch List.

Highlights
Reeder has established herself as an elite six-rotation outside for Anoka. Some of her career accomplishments include earning All-Conference recognition, being named to the All-AAAA State Tournament Team, and receiving Honorable Mention Tournament Team honors. By 2025, Reeder has demonstrated her significant impact on Anoka. Her career statistics showcase her all-around game with over 1,100 career kills, 882 digs, and 108 assists across 284 sets played.

Highlights
Conklin has been a standout Middle Blocker/Right-Side for the St. Michael-Albertville Knights, showcasing a powerful presence at the net. The 6'3" athlete has demonstrated her offensive firepower by recording match highs of 15 kills against New Prague and 11 kills against Eden Prairie. Conklin is notable for her ability to dominate with looming blocks and relentless offense is a player you just don't want to give an open net.

Highlights
Syverson established herself as a formidable attacker for the Ada-Borup-West Cougars while also demonstrating remarkable defensive abilities. In the 2023 season alone, she recorded 314 kills and 73 total blocks and her blocking was the number to beat in the Pine to Prairie conference. One of her more dominant performances came in a Section 8A semifinal victory, where she recorded a massive 29 kills, 4 blocks, and 15 digs. And to top things off she was credited with the match-winning kill. Syverson has also earned the Ada-Borup Player of the Match award multiple times in her career.
