<p><strong>Quarterfinal win over SPASH 25-19, 25-11, 25-14, </strong></p>

<p><strong>Semifinal win over Waunakee 25-23, 25-15, 25-23</strong></p>

<p>Although both matches were sweeps for <strong>DSHA</strong>, they had to play tough and clean against a very high-level Waunakee team. There were 13 tied scores and 6 lead changes in the semifinal match. [player_tooltip player_id='587062' first='Harper' last='Wendlick'] stepped up in a huge way for the Dashers. She made big kills when the team needed it most and was absolutely fearless on the court. Harper contributed 16 kills, 2 aces, and 6 digs. She was also a main target on serve recieve and handled the pressure very well. [player_tooltip player_id='809763' first='Maddie' last='Brown'] was as efficient as ever on both offense and defense. [player_tooltip player_id='545505' first='Tegan' last='Loechler'] contributed as a setter and right side hitter. And [player_tooltip player_id='800247' first='Abigail' last='Buckner'] was relentless at the libero position. This team is so well-rounded in every position, it is hard to highlight only a few players.</p>

<p><span style="margin: 0px;padding: 0px"><strong>Waunakee </strong>put everything into this match.</span> After sweeping a talented Kimberly team in the quarterfinals in a tight match, Waunakee came and battled point for point with DSHA, the top-ranked team in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='345274' first='Lauren' last='Sprague'] played elite-level defense throughout the tournament. She could move corner to corner, pick up balls, and make it look easy. Her consistency and impact in the back row, as well as on offense, cannot be understated. [player_tooltip player_id='388460' first='Kaitlin' last='Van Wie'] has become an incredible 6-rotation force on the court. She is a go-to hitter and can be relied on to earn points in big moments. Setters [player_tooltip player_id='587068' first='Lauren' last='Van Wie'] and [player_tooltip player_id='435879' first='Amy' last='Denkert'] both played great matches all week.</p>

<p><strong>Quick Quarterfinal Notes</strong></p>

<p><strong>Kimberly</strong> had a tough time getting past Waunakee's defense, but they never gave up and battled for every point. [player_tooltip player_id='249636' first='Ava' last='Van Hammond'] was an all-around impact player who contributed to nearly every stat possible from aces to assists and digs to blocks. Bri Hagglund was a go-to hitter and consistent point earner for Kimberly. Libero [player_tooltip player_id='809331' first='Finley' last='Van Lannen'] was an all-out baller in the back row. She did not record any serve receive errors, had 3 aces, and 18 digs.</p>

<p><strong>Stevens Point Area High School</strong> really started to heat up as the match went on. Libero [player_tooltip player_id='500399' first='Lenna' last='Mayer'] was fearless against DSHA's powerhouse offense, recording 11 digs and only 1 reception error. Leah Awe was a massive and efficient impact player, earning 8 kills on 12 attempts with no errors. She also had 3 blocks.</p>

<p><strong>Semifinal win over Oconomowoc 19-25, 16-25, 25-19, 25-16, 15-10 </strong></p>

<p>After handling Verona in straight sets, <strong>Hamilton</strong> dug deep and showed their grit today in a reverse sweep against Oconomowoc. Despite dropping sets one and two quite quickly, a few lineup switches to give some better blocking matchups and offensive looks, and this team was able to fight back point by point. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='734111' first='Claire' last='Baldwin'] was an absolute showstopper with 13 kills and 2 blocks. [player_tooltip player_id='391175' first='Grace' last='Wellens'] was a defensive wall with an incredible 12 blocks. She also had 8 kills. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='249644' first='Brooke' last='Baldwin'] was a force with 30 assists, 6 kills, 10 digs, 7 blocks, and an ace. And [player_tooltip player_id='249651' first='Emily' last='Zgonc'] was as fearless and relentless as ever at the libero position. </p>

<p><strong>Oconomowoc</strong> came out firing in the first two sets, exploding onto the court with energy and power. [player_tooltip player_id='249678' first='Marlee' last='Sivak'] and [player_tooltip player_id='435890' first='Greta' last='Schreiber'] were both relentless on offense. Marlee had 21 kills, 3 aces, and 12 digs. Greta had 16 kills and 5 blocks. [player_tooltip player_id='284069' first='Lizzy' last='Kwiatkowski'] is another player who left it all on the court. She had an incredible 7 aces, 45 assists, 6 kills, and 9 digs. </p>

<p><strong>Quick Quarterfinal Notes</strong></p>

<p><strong>Verona</strong> brought a lot of fight to the court. [player_tooltip player_id='388461' first='Sophia' last='Trias'] had huge energy for her team, even when they were down. She was also fearless throughout the match, picking up even the toughest balls. Setter [player_tooltip player_id='211556' first='Anna' last='Haines'] was a key player as well as offensive weapons [player_tooltip player_id='827929' first='Taylor' last='Pettit'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796520' first='Macy' last='Stremlow'].</p>

<p><strong>Oak Creek</strong> took a set off of Oconomowoc in the quarter finals. They did not go quietly and were highly impressive in their all-around play. [player_tooltip player_id='223818' first='Isabella' last='Ruether'] played all 6 rotations and contributed on nearly every point. She had 13 kills, 5 aces, 7 digs, and 2 blocks. I was so impressed with libero [player_tooltip player_id='546459' first='Claire' last='Mank'] who had 18 digs, 3 aces, and only one reception error. Her reading in the back row was outstanding. Middle [player_tooltip player_id='376272' first='Ava' last='Turlais'] was smart and savvy with her shot selection, and setter [player_tooltip player_id='741615' first='Julia' last='Schneider'] ran a fast-tempo offense no matter where she was on the court.</p>

<p>This championship match will be a repeat of last year, with Hamilton and DSHA going head-to-head. Both teams play in the Greater Metro Conference out of Milwaukee ,and it is sure to be a battle as they see each other for the 3rd time this season in the championship match.</p>
