<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We're in the heart of the volleyball season.&nbsp; From high school to college, these athletes and coaches are in the grind.&nbsp; The day to day practice and the matches get busy, but we're going to takes moment to check in with recruiting.&nbsp; The 2028s were able to start their process this past summer on June 15 with some committing quickly and others who are still navigating the process.&nbsp; With connections to Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin were going to look at some of the top available 2028s that college coaches could take a look at.&nbsp;</p> <!-- top overall player in this group.  She is coming off a big club season playing for [program_tooltip program_id='431567' first='Adversity' last=''] with her 16s team advancing to USAV 16 Open Nationals.  She is currently continuing a hot streak at Joliet West High School.  She has posted camp visits at Valpo, Loyola, De Paul, Clemson, and Iowa State.  Grevengoed is a flyer on the outside, she makes something look really difficult look effortless.  She is able to serve receive, pass, and mix in a variety of shots along with power.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block unique talent where she has been playing at the open level as a setter/right side combo player for her Madtown team.  She has plenty of physicality and athleticism where she can terminate and make something out of nothing as a setter.  I'll be interesting to see what her trajectory is at the college level and if she wants to continue being used as a combo player or focus on one position or the player_id='742600' first='Piper' last='Hodge'] out of the Quad Cities.  She preps at Davenport Assumption and has been part of Iowa Select where she is really strong when it comes to her anticipation.  She is able to make some of the tougher plays look easy because she's already in position.  She brings quickness and athleticism to the position and knows how to win.  Her Davenport Assumption team was the 2025 Class 3A state champions in Iowa. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block [player_tooltip player_id='587083' first='Ruby' last='Clooten'] was a big part of the success of [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] 16 Gold this past club season.  She has a certain spring in her jump that allows her to get up quickly and use a fast arm to score points. She can run multiple routes, tempos, and can close the block.  She knows how to score points at a high level and knows how to position herself to block the ball on the other side.  </p> <!-- footwork, hands, her release, and is an established defender as well.  She was a key piece of the [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 16 Elite team who won the 16 American to the success of 1st Alliance 16 Silver.  If her side of the net can get in system she can thump the ball on the ten foot line or find the deep corners.  She is touching 10'3 and is laterally quick as well where she can run a shoot/gap or attack from behind the setter and being extremely terminal off one foot.   There is a fun upside to her game where her best volleyball is still ahead of Sheperd out of Carmel Catholic in Illinois going from [program_tooltip program_id='431479' first='Wisconsin' last='Juniors'] to [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'].  The 5'10 lefty setter brings a dynamic skillset to the court where she can dish, attack, block and defend.  She has all the tools of a setter and will be a huge addition to a loaded [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] 17s group.  She could be quick to commit once she gets on the opens courts and coaches can see what she can do at a high level. </p> <!-- handed setter, Schluckebier has been able to swing on the right side or run a 5-1.  Athletes like this just bring another dimension to their team where she has seen success for this [program_tooltip program_id='431948' first='Iowa' last='Rockets'] squad.  Another athlete she's played club with is [player_tooltip player_id='730449' first='Kylee' last='Suhr'] who is an emerging attacker out of the
