Previewing Iowa 15U at USAV Las Vegas Nationals

The USAV nationals gets underway this week in Las Vegas. You can check out our <a href="https://prepdig.com/2024/06/previewing-iowa-16u-at-las-vegas-nationals/">16U</a> and <a href="https://prepdig.com/2024/06/previewing-iowa-17u-at-las-vegas-nationals/">17U</a> previews in preparing to follow Iowa clubs in those age groups.   Here's a look at the 15U group, many of whom appeared in Prep Dig's recently released <a href="https://prepdig.com/iowa/rankings/2027-watch-list/">Class of 2027 Rankings</a>:   PowerPlex Henkelman, National Division   This squad took home the gold championship at the Iowa regional in late March. It instilled confidence in a group that already boasts tons of talent.   Prep Dig's No. 3 prospect in '27, [player_tooltip player_id='490013' first='Logan' last='Vogt'], helped Waukee Northwest win a Class 5A state championship last fall. This club season, she's patrolled the pin and continued developing overall as a player. Her classmate with the Wolves and 11th-ranked prospect, [player_tooltip player_id='493601' first='Piper' last='Ladwig'], provides another powerful front-row presence.   Another Wolf, [player_tooltip player_id='443085' first='Avery' last='Edgington'], does damage on the right side and beyond. Still another from Northwest, [player_tooltip player_id='443125' first='Liv' last='Davis'], shines as a well-rounded setter with versatility, and shares the position with [player_tooltip player_id='493603' first='Miley' last='Geise'] from Roland-Story. Northwest's [player_tooltip player_id='490011' first='Leah' last='Janulewicz'] provides punch in the back.   Oskaloosa's [player_tooltip player_id='412719' first='Jenna' last='Harbour'] also holds it down in the back row and is the fourth-rated DS/L in the recruiting cycle. [player_tooltip player_id='490016' first='Raquel' last='Risk'] from Ankeny checks in as the No. 10 outside hitter in the class by Prep Dig.   [player_tooltip player_id='490006' first='Harley' last='Askelsen'] of Ballard ranks as one of the better middle hitters in the grade. She's complemented in the center of the net by Centennial's [player_tooltip player_id='493605' first='Kenlie' last='Erickson'].   <a href="https://results.advancedeventsystems.com/event/PTAwMDAwMzM4MDQ90/divisions/156870/teams/42161">FOLLOW POWERPLEX HENKELMAN IN VEGAS</a>   [program_tooltip program_id='431948' first='Iowa' last='Rockets'] 15R, National Division   15R finished second to PowerPlex at regionals in late March. This squad is stocked with some of the top Iowa players in the age group.   It includes Prep Dig's No. 1 player in the 2027, [player_tooltip player_id='360642' first='Sophia' last='Austen']. The Iowa City West sophomore continues improving as a hitter and sharpening her game elsewhere around the court. She's complemented by powerful pin [player_tooltip player_id='273001' first='Ellie' last='Wilson'], the 10th-ranked player in the class.   Wilson's Iowa City Liberty classmate, [player_tooltip player_id='316419' first='Edie' last='Miller'], is the top-ranked non-hitter in the cycle. The dynamic libero possesses the skills, quickness and reflexes necessary for consistent quality performance in the back row. Her sister, [player_tooltip player_id='316380' first='Hadley' last='Miller'], the state's No. 4 setter in '27, shares the consistency-in-volleyball gene with her sibling and shares setting duties on this squad with the talented [player_tooltip player_id='489998' first='Belle' last='Seaman'].   [player_tooltip player_id='493660' first='Bailey' last='Simpson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='493658' first='Hattie' last='Galloway'] give 15R an embarrassment of riches in the middle of the net. It was packed with potential.   Mount Vernon's [player_tooltip player_id='555712' first='Sophia' last='Meester'] stands out as a primary pin that contributes all around the court. Skyllan Ousley from Cedar Rapids Kennedy, [player_tooltip player_id='555719' first='Brynlee' last='Bettcher'] of Mount Vernon and Peyton LeMieux give this outfit another trio big swingers.   Setter [player_tooltip player_id='555736' first='Lila' last='Eastvold']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/lila-eastvold/"></a> does well in running the show for Maddie. [player_tooltip player_id='525829' first='Addison' last='Phillips'] stands out in the middle of the net, and libero [player_tooltip player_id='555730' first='Taylor' last='Hoskins']<a href="https://prepdig.com/player/taylor-hoskins-2/"></a> does so in the back row.   <a href="https://results.advancedeventsystems.com/event/PTAwMDAwMzM4MDQ90/divisions/156873/teams/126111">FOLLOW ADRENALINE MADDIE IN VEGAS</a>   Platform Adidas, Liberty Division   Platform claimed fourth place at the Iowa regional in March. It pushed CIA Black to three sets in the third-place match.   Assumption's [player_tooltip player_id='555771' first='Emmy' last='Burkhart'] and [player_tooltip player_id='555773' first='Liv' last='Barudin'] from Pleasant Valley supply Platform with two productive pins. [player_tooltip player_id='443124' first='Rachel' last='Allen'], [player_tooltip player_id='555776' first='Carly' last='Bachman'], [player_tooltip player_id='555777' first='Quinn' last='Schroeder'], [player_tooltip player_id='555772' first='Grace' last='Danielson'], [player_tooltip player_id='555746' first='Clare' last='Yeggy'] and [player_tooltip player_id='555775' first='Alexis' last='Stilwell'] also help fuel this outfit.   <a href="https://results.advancedeventsystems.com/event/PTAwMDAwMzM4MDQ90/divisions/156889/teams/2654">FOLLOW PLATFORM ADIDAS IN VEGAS</a>   [program_tooltip program_id='431948' first='Iowa' last='Rockets'] 15-1, American Division   This team finished sixth at the Iowa regional.   Kaitlin Loria, [player_tooltip player_id='493983' first='Heather' last='Hingst'], Brooklyn Wheeler, [player_tooltip player_id='493985' first='Sydney' last='Van Heukelom'] and [player_tooltip player_id='555788' first='Kendra' last='Nolton'] help supply 15-1 with front-row weapons that can keep the pressure on the opponent. Mya Wagner is steady in the back.   <a href="https://results.advancedeventsystems.com/event/PTAwMDAwMzM4MDQ90/divisions/156869/teams/77704">FOLLOW [program_tooltip program_id='431948' first='Iowa' last='Rockets'] 15-1 IN VEGAS</a>   Six Pack, American Division   Don't be surprised if this team enjoys quite a bit of success in the desert. It's led by No. 4 prospect in state, Waukee sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='443092' first='Malia' last='Rogers']. She's a high-ceiling prospect with a loud game.   [player_tooltip player_id='403543' first='Addie' last='Bollier'] from Regina is enjoying a super club season and checks in at No. 7 in '27 for Iowa. Dallas Center-Grimes middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='394331' first='Maggie' last='Leifker'] is the 14th-ranked prospect overall, and her prep teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='493973' first='Gwen' last='Farley'], sets the squad. [player_tooltip player_id='555692' first='Gabrielle' last='Demmer'] stands out in the back, and [player_tooltip player_id='555699' first='[player_tooltip player_id='523166' first='Haley' last='']' last='Badker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='555695' first='Lucy' last='Anderson'] help up front.   <a href="https://results.advancedeventsystems.com/event/PTAwMDAwMzM4MDQ90/divisions/156869/teams/75393">FOLLOW SIX PACK IN VEGAS</a>   Eastern Iowa Bulldogs, Freedom Division   It should be an excellent experience in Vegas for the Eastern Iowa Bulldogs. It's a talented roster.   Haley Engels (Bettendorf) played varsity basketball as a freshman last year and adds athleticism to this team. Audrey Misiag, Anna Kilstrom, Marlee Griffin and Myla Peterson were Bettendorf freshman squad in '23.   <a href="https://results.advancedeventsystems.com/event/PTAwMDAwMzM4MDQ90/divisions/156885/teams/175053">FOLLOW EASTERN IOWA BULLDOGS IN VEGAS</a>   Iowa Impact, Freedom Division   This Impact outfit took third in the silver bracket at the Iowa regional. Now it'll look to make some noise in the desert.
